Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates located south of the Persian Gulf. Dubai is the largest city in this region and holds the largest population per square meter. There are many interesting facts about Dubai which are not commonly known to travelers however getting to know the laws her in this region is considered essential because some crimes are punishable through sever treatment.

Dubai is becoming one of the worlds most visited places because of the beauty it possesses on many levels. Not only are the landscapes very breathtaking but also the modernization, infrastructure, building and man made islands are sights to be seen. Economically the the city does very well for the upper class of people because the lower class workers live off very poor wages and often live in squatting conditions. Interestingly most of the working class in Dubai are foreigners with up to eighty percent of all residents being foreign.

Dubai is known to be one of the fastest growing cities in the world, reclaiming the deserts with waterways and irrigation systems to make once dry and harsh lands fertile again. Dubai has a strong wealth being one of the highest capita incomes in the world meaning the wealthy are very wealthy indeed. The Palm Islands are being built in Dubai which is the first man made islands which are not using reclaimed land. Dubai is a city that has no personal or income tax which is why the wealthy citizens remain so. You may find it difficult to navigate your way around Dubai because technically there are no street addresses.
